High-Speed Transfers
Every transfer matters. From removing a freshly formed article to loading it into the annealing lehr, accurate positioning and controlled movement help protect product quality and keep production running smoothly.
Precise movements.
Reliable production.
WALTEC combines take-out systems, transfer robots, gripper systems, turning devices and ESERVO pushers to create handling solutions adapted to the article and the production process. The modular range connects individual machines into a coordinated production sequence.
Different glass products require different approaches. High-speed tableware production calls for fast, repeatable transfers. Heavy or complex articles require greater freedom of movement. Products entering a fire polishing machine must be positioned for the treatment that follows.
WALTEC selects and combines its handling systems around these requirements, matching the transfer method to the article geometry, weight, production speed and line configuration.
TAKE-OUT SYSTEMS
The right movement for every transfer.
A take-out system connects the forming operation with the next production stage. Its movement must suit the article geometry, production speed, the available pick-up position and the required placement position. WALTEC offers different drive concepts to meet these requirements.

Take-Out & Transfer
HLE Take-Out

Take-Out & Transfer
HLE Take-Out
The HLE Take-Out transfers glass articles from the press to downstream production sections. Servo-driven horizontal and vertical movements ensure precise, reproducible positioning, with optional 180° article rotation.
Key Features:
- Servo-driven horizontal and vertical movement
- Reproducible positioning between production sections
- Optional 180° article rotation

HVM Take-Out

Up to 240 cycles per minute
HVM Take-Out
The HVM Take-Out system is designed for the highest production speeds and maximum flexibility. Two suction heads or gripper arms rotate around a vertical axis. The vertical stroke of the arms is variable in the pick and place position. This eliminates a mechanical adjustment of the pick-up and/or place position on the fire polishing machine for different mould and article heights. The rotating and lifting movements automatically adapt to changes in the production speed. A total of three ESERVO drives are responsible for rotation, pick-up and placement.
Key Features:
- Three ESERVO drives
- Gripper or vacuum handling
- Variable vertical strokes at pick-up and placement
- Automatic adaptation of movements to production speed

One drive – two axes
HSE Take-Out

One drive – two axes
HSE Take-Out
The HSE Take-Out combines vertical and horizontal movement using a single servo drive. Available for gripper or vacuum
take-out, it provides a coordinated motion sequence for removing and transferring glass articles.
Its distinguishing feature is the shared drive concept: both movement axes are operated through one servo drive.
Key Features:
- One servo drive for vertical and horizontal movement
- Gripper or vacuum take-out
- Coordinated lifting and transfer motion
TRANSFER ROBOTS
Flexible positioning between production stages.
Robotic handling connects operations with different transfer positions and movement requirements. WALTEC uses four-axis SCARA and six-axis robots to support article removal and positioning between production sections.
The appropriate solution depends on the product weight, geometry, required orientation and the arrangement of the surrounding equipment.

Turning During Fire-Polishing

Transfer
Turning During Fire-Polishing
The latest WALTEC innovation provides a way to turn articles between two tracking burner slides on a horizontal fire-polishing line. This is realized with a third tracking slider where the combination of SCARA robot and turning device is installed. It is the long-awaited WALTEC solution enabling the bottoms of the articles to be polished inline.

TRANSFER AND LEHR LOADING
Protecting quality through the next movement.
The quality achieved during forming and fire polishing must be preserved during subsequent transfers. WALTEC’s Gripper Star, SynchroGripper and ESERVO Pusher perform different tasks within this sequence: transferring individual articles between production sections and loading articles into the annealing lehr.
